13U (Peewee) Fall Baseball
KMBA is offering two Fall 13U programs for players born in 2014 and 2015. Both programs provide opportunities for players to continue developing their skills during the fall season.
Season: September 7 – October 8, 2026
Location: Peewee Fields, McArthur Island
FALL RECREATIONAL BASEBALL
Fall Rec Baseball is designed for players who want to work on developing their skills in a fun, team-based environment. New and returning players welcome.
Players will participate in a combination of practices and scrimmages throughout the season.
PROGRAM DETAILS
Cost: $200 per player
Schedule: Two field sessions per week
Tentatively Scheduled field days: Tuesdays and Thursdays
Location: Peewee Fields, McArthur Island
Final field days and times will depend on registration and team numbers. Additional field days may be required if registration numbers are high.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Players in both programs will need:
- Baseball glove
- Batting helmet
- Cleats (runners)
- Baseball pants
Grey baseball pants are recommended when purchasing new pants, but players may wear baseball pants of any color.
FALL PROSPECTS PROGRAM
The Fall Prospects Program is an invite-only, competitive development program for players who have participated in the rep stream or demonstrated an exceptional level of skill.
Players must receive an invitation from KMBA and intend to try out for a Spring 2027 rep team to participate.
KMBA uses the fall season as an extension of its evaluation process for Spring rep teams. Participation in the Fall Prospects Program does not guarantee placement on a Spring team. For those who opt not to participate in the Fall season, there will be an opportunity in October to attend a try out.

Schedule: Monday and Wednesday evenings
Location: Peewee Fields, McArthur Island
Registration: By invitation only
Sessions will focus on skill development, game preparation and competitive play.
TOURNAMENT AND EXHIBITION OPPORTUNITIES
There may be opportunities for players to be rostered for tournament or exhibition games during the fall season.
Rostering is not guaranteed and is considered an added benefit of the program.
Additional information will be provided if game opportunities become available.
Space in the Prospects Program is limited. Not every interested or eligible player will be able to participate.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
DIVISION COORDINATOR - Division Coordinators play a key role in supporting a successful season by helping recruit coaches, communicating with families and coaches, assisting with division decisions, and working with the KMBA board to ensure players and volunteers have a positive baseball experience. 13U Spring Schedule
13U PEEWEE GENERAL INFORMATION
Spring Season (April-June):
13u is the first year of full baseball rules. In Peewee there are three potential levels of tiered play; "A", "AA", "AAA".
"A" ball is often referred to as house ball, any players that do not play rep are evaluated and drafted onto teams. This level is welcoming for players of all skill levels and experience.
"AAA" if fielded, is a single season RiverDogs rep team that runs from April through the summer. "AAA" plays against other teams in the province, will attend a zones tournament to compete for a spot at provincials. BC Minor Baseball schedules teams at this level. Players must tryout and be selected to play on this competitive team.
"AA" is also a competitive team with players being selected from a tryout but this team runs from April - June. This team will play in an interlock against other teams in the Interior/Okanagan.
Summer Season (June - August):
Summer baseball is an additional season for game play. Depending on the interest & coach availability, in May, players who participated in Spring baseball may given the opportunity to try out for one of KMBA's Summer select teams. Summer "A" house team(s) have the opportunity to interlock with other Interior/Okanagan teams, possibly play in tournaments against other associations from around the province, culminating with the provincial championship.
Fall Baseball (September - October):
Fall baseball is comprised of players who will be entering the division in the following year as well as players who will be moving into their second year. Players practice and scrimmage with each other. Fall ball is mostly practices/scrimmages subject to interest, there is often the opportunity to play teams from other associations. Game play is considered 'value added' and being chosen for a Fall roster is not guaranteed.
Winter Baseball (January-March):
Winterball is run in our first class indoor training facility: Sussex Insurance Centre on McArthur Island. Winterball is designed to offer the players instruction on many of the fundamentals that can get lost in the busy spring season. There will be two streams of 13U winter training. One for kids of any level/experience looking to improve their skills and another for more advanced players who wish to try out for a Spring season rep teams. Space is limited.
