Players born in 2018 or 2019
These small group indoor sessions help young players build confidence and keep practicing indoors through the Fall.
All Skills combines throwing, catching, fielding and hitting activities, while the Saturday clinics give players focused practice in pitching or hitting.
Block 1: November 2–21, 2026
Block 2: November 23–December 12, 2026
Location: Sussex Indoor Facility, McArthur Island
Cost: $60 per three-session block, per program day.
Info: Each session is one hour. Each day of the week is a separate registration; families may choose one or more days and either or both blocks.
Equipment: Clean indoor shoes, baseball glove, batting helmet and comfortable clothes. A batting helmet is not required for pitching sessions.

Keep your player active and developing their baseball skills this fall! KMBA’s Fall Tadpole program is open to players entering the 8U and 9U divisions for the Spring 2027 season.
PROGRAM DETAILS
Season: September 7– October 8, 2026
Location: Tadpole Fields, McArthur Island
Cost: $175 per player
Schedule: Two field sessions per week, mix of practices and games
Session times will be determined once registration closes and team numbers are confirmed. Time slots may begin as early as 4:15 p.m.
DIVISIONS AND FIELD DAYS
8U Tadpole - Players Born in 2019
- Tuesdays & Thursdays
9U Tadpole - Players Born in 2018
- Mondays & Wednesdays
Players should register in the division they will play in during the Spring 2027 season.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Each player will need:
- Baseball glove
- Batting helmet
- Runners
- Long pants — baseball pants are preferred
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Space is limited.
- Field times will depend on registration and team numbers.
- The program and individual sessions are weather-dependent.
FRIDAY NIGHTS ARE FOR THE GIRLS!
KMBA is excited to bring young female players together for a dedicated Friday night development program this fall.
Open to girls in 8U - 11U (2016 - 2019), this program offers a welcoming place to build skills, gain confidence, make new friends and enjoy playing baseball alongside other girls.
Players can register for the Friday sessions as their only fall baseball program or add them as a supplemental session alongside their recreational season.
PROGRAM DETAILS
Cost: $50 per player
Schedule: Fridays from 5:00–6:30 p.m.
Location: Tadpole Field, McArthur Island
We have intentionally offered this program at a reduced rate to make it easier for more girls to get on the field and experience baseball together.
Strong participation will also help KMBA measure interest as we work toward creating more girls-specific baseball opportunities, and potentially girls teams, in the future.
COACHES NEEDED
Help create a fun, positive, and engaging baseball experience for young athletes. Coaches lead practices and games, support player development, encourage teamwork and sportsmanship, and communicate with families throughout the season. 8u/9u TADPOLE GENERAL INFORMATION
Spring Season (April-June):
This division is split into two groups:
8U - safety ball group
9U - hardball group
Each group plays by a modified set of rules (found below) that will gradually ease the transition from Rally Cap through 8U/9U & into 11U (Mosquito). The focus is on fun, fundamentals and increasing confidence while developing baseball skills, throwing, catching, hitting and base running. The use of pitching machines and live pitching start to be introduced. Teams can expect to be on the field twice per week.
Summer "RiverDogs" Season (June - August):
In May, players are given the opportunity to try out for one of KMBA's Summer Select teams. These Summer teams represent KMBA and play in tournaments against other associations from around the province. In recent years, KMBA has host a 9u Summer Jamboree on August long weekend. We try and field at least one team at the Tadpole level.
Fall Baseball (September - October):
A time for development and fun. Fall baseball is comprised of players who will be entering the division in the following year as well as players who will be moving into their second year. Usually runs 1 night a week, the players practice and scrimmage with each other.
Winter Baseball (January-March):
Winterball is designed to offer the players instruction on many of the fundamentals that can get lost in the busy Spring Season.This back to basics approach gives players a fun environment to hone abilities and learn new aspects of the game and keep active during the winter months. Tadpole sessions are run as clinics so families can pick and choose what works for them. Winterball is held in our Sussex Insurance indoor facility on McArthur Island. Space is limited.
