VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
DIVISION COORDINATOR - Division Coordinators play a key role in supporting a successful season by helping recruit coaches, communicating with families and coaches, assisting with division decisions, and working with the KMBA board to ensure players and volunteers have a positive baseball experience. This is a great opportunity to help shape the future of baseball in our community. We are actively seeking a RallyCap coordinator to join for the 2026/27 seasons, if interested please email yvonne.kmba@gmail.com.
COACHES - Help create a fun, positive, and engaging baseball experience for young athletes. Coaches lead practices and games, support player development, encourage teamwork and sportsmanship, and communicate with families throughout the season. Whether you're an experienced coach or brand new to the role, KMBA provides resources and support to help you succeed. If you can commit to helping with this program, please
fill out this online form.
THANK YOU - KMBA is a volunteer-driven organization, and our success depends on the incredible people who step up to support our players and families each season. Every volunteer, whether coaching, coordinating, or helping behind the scenes, plays an important role in creating a positive baseball experience. Thank you for considering becoming part of the KMBA team.
5U - 7U RALLYCAP GENERAL INFORMATION
Welcome to baseball!
In RallyCap our goals are to:
- Create an environment in which players and parents can have fun with baseball
- Introduce the skills for baseball through age appropriate physical literacy while following the LTAD (Long-Term Athletic Development)
- Model and teach competitiveness with an emphasis on good sportsmanship
- Promote increased self-esteem among the players and the parents.
For the program to work effectively, we create small teams of 6-8 players, this allows for the formation of more teams. What this means for the kids less "standing around", more engagement, more repetition, and more FUN!
Spring Baseball Season
5U & 6U Game Play:
Games are 45 - 60 minutes. When it comes to batting, players have the option of hitting off a tee, having a coach use underhand soft-toss, or toss overhand, depending on the player's skill level.
7U Game Play:
On game days, two teams are scheduled for 1 hour games at the Rookie fields for the first four weeks. They will start to learn how to make outs and the 7u game rules of baseball. Starting mid May, teams will play their games following the game rules on the Tadpole fields that have actual dugouts and look like a real baseball field. This provides players a great opportunity for progression to the Tadpole division with ease and it's pretty exciting for them to play on that field!!
When it comes to batting, coaches will pitch or a tee will be used. Each batter will receive a maximum of 6 pitches or 3 strikes (whatever comes first) from the coach. After 6 pitches or 3 strikes, the batter shall be given 2 soft toss pitches from the coach. If they do not put the soft tosses in play, the batter shall be called out, no exceptions. If using a tee - maximum of 6 swings or 3 strikes (whatever comes first).
