RiverDogs Baseball Academy

The RiverDogs Baseball Academy is a high-performance, invite-only program designed to provide elite training opportunities for KMBA athletes. Due to limited facility space, invitations for participation are determined by coaches and/or staff and may be highly selective.

2025/2026 Program Details
RiverDogs Academy will run from the week of November 3 to March 5th with a Christmas break. This year the program will offer two streams: Hitting and Defense. Players may register for one or both streams, each offering 16 weeks of focused, small-group training to support their development on the field.

  • The Hitting program, led by Liam Rihela at Double Play Sports, features personalized hitting plans, HitTrax bio analysis, and video breakdowns.
  • The Defense program, led by Frank Ingram at the Sussex Indoor Facility, places a strong emphasis on pitching development along with other key defensive fundamentals.

13U Hitting Academy Registration

TIme: 1 hr 15 min sessions, assigned after registration

13U Defense Academy Registration
Stream: Defense @ Sussex Indoor Facility
Length: 1 hr 15 min sessions
When: Tuesdays @ 6:30pm 
Cost: $550/player/day
Capacity: 12 players 

15U/18U Hitting Academy Registration
Stream: Hitting @ Double Play Sports
Length:1 hr 15 min sessions
When: Mondays @ 8:00pm or Tuesdays @ 3:45pm or 5:10pm (assigned after registration)
Cost: $1050/player
Capacity: 6 players per time slot

15U/18U Defense Academy Registration
Stream: Defense @ Sussex Indoor Facility
Length: 1 hr 15 min sessions
Date: Thursdays
Time: 6:15pm or 7:45pm, assigned after registration
Cost: $550/player
Capacity: 12 players per time slot

 

  • Fees cover the full 16-week program, are non-refundable, and assume full participation.
  • Invoices will be issued once registration closes or fills (one payment in October, one in January).
  • Payment plans may be available upon request.

REMINDER

For any players who do not partake in Academy but are still looking for additional training, KMBA is hosting indoor sessions Nov - Dec (open now) and January - March (open November 15th)
